Responsibilities:

- As a Cybersecurity Analyst Senior Advisor, I am responsible for engaging as a member of an integrated government/contractor team of technical and functional experts conducting cybersecurity at USSOCOM. My key tasks include:

- Identifying security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities of networks, systems, applications, and new technologies.
- Conducting complex security architecture analysis to evaluate and mitigate issues, while developing policies and procedures for securing the system infrastructure and applications.
- Developing complex technical and programmatic assessments, evaluating engineering and integration initiatives, and providing technical support to assess security policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Performing highly complex product evaluations, recommending and implementing products/services for network security, and validating and testing complex security architecture and design solutions.
- Providing technical oversight and enforcement of security directives, orders, standards, plans, and procedures, along with developing manuals and ensuring support personnel receive necessary security awareness and training.
- Assessing impacts on the business unit/customer due to security breaches and reporting findings to senior management.

To succeed in this role, I need experience working with IP networking and security technologies, along with relevant operating systems. Understanding Intelligence Community Directive 503 (ICD 503) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework is essential. I producing and maintaining Assessment and Authorization packages, as well as validating NIST 800-53 Security Controls and CNSSI 1253 Security Controls and Overlays.
