Advantia Health specializes in women's health and is expanding its services by opening Women's Health Urgent Care locations in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area! We are seeking a few Women's Health Nurse Practitioners.

Job Responsibilities:  

• Responding to high patient volumes in short-term spans and dealing with unpredictable situations and issues.

• Provides care to women from adolescence through menopause, with a focus on reproduction and gynecology.

• Daily rounding on inpatients and consults- managing conditions like sexually transmitted infections, abnormal bleeding, contraception needs, menstrual irregularities, pelvic pain, and other acute women's health issues, while also performing routine screenings and preventative care within an urgent care setting.

• Performing physicial examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and educating patients on appropriate management strategies. 

• Perform general patient assessment, including history and physical examination, and record or dictate the information appropriately in the patient medical record 

• Order, perform, and interpret point-of-care tests, and diagnostic laboratory tests

• Consult with or refer to physician and non-physician health care professionals 

• Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:  

• Graduate of an accredited Women's Health Nurse Practitioner

• Require a provider with a minimum of 2+ years of any clinical experience in the Women's Health field. 

• Board certified (ACNP or NCCPA certification) 

• Maryland license, DEA, and BLS preferred
