Tax Accountant/CPA

Salary: $80K - $135K (Depending on Experience)
Location: Remote (EST and CST Time Zones Only)

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review corporate, partnership, and individual federal, state, and local tax returns for privately held and family-owned business clients.
Develop tax strategies to ensure clients maintain compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
Conduct tax research to address compliance issues and aid in strategic planning.
Stay updated on legislative and regulatory changes in tax laws, and communicate their impact to the tax services team.
Identify opportunities to capitalize on changes in tax legislation.
Manage communications with the IRS and other tax authorities to resolve any issues.

Qualifications:
Active CPA license is required (a Master's in Taxation is a plus).
Minimum of 5 years of recent or current public accounting tax experience.
Extensive experience with tax review, including 1120/1120S, 1065, 1040/1041 forms.
Strong knowledge of multistate tax laws and experience with CCH ProSystem fx Tax, Engagement, and CCH IntelliConnect/AnswerConnect is highly desirable.
In-depth knowledge and experience in individual, corporate, and partnership taxation.

Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, establishing positive working relationships.
