Job Description

What you will be doing:

• Prepare and review complex tax returns including personal business fiduciary and nonprofit.
• Assume tax person responsibility/management for less complex business clients.
• Perform tax research planning and projection projects.
• Supervise tax return preparation engagements.
• Possess technical knowledge sufficient to supervise staff accountants.
• Assist in developing and training staff through supervision evaluation and assistance in assigned projects.
• Develop expertise within agreed upon industry group(s).
• Begin developing a command of pertinent IRC sections and regulations.
• Make internal and external presentations on topics within specialty areas as requested.
• Develop quality client relationships and loyalty.
• Work necessary hours to meet deadlines for assigned work.
• Handle increased workload required during certain times of the year.
• Occasional sameday or overnight travel for work at clients offices meetings and seminars.

Experience you will need:

• Inoffice work during training due to the interaction necessary with the trainer; amount of time required will vary based on the individuals experience and abilities.
• Individuals at this level normally have a Masters or Bachelors Degree with a major in Accounting or other related business field or equivalent accounting experience.
• Minimum of five years experience with complex individual/corporate tax accounting in public accounting.
• CPA eligible.
• Strong technical knowledge and skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Creative problemsolving ability with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
