Senior Process Engineer

Senior Process Engineer Essential Duties And Responsibilities - Responsible for process engineering and design including process simulations, equipment sizing and specification, drafting of piping and instrumentation diagrams, developing engineering standards and performing process engineering consulting for O&G clients
- Participate in PSM activities for facilities including maintaining facility drawings and resolving PHA action items
- Lead the process design for midstream facility and pipeline projects
- Develop improvement projects, from conception through start-up, to ensure both short and long term viability of the refinery
- Provide technical leadership for process designs from the process engineering group including technical guidance and mentoring
- Work with clients, contractors, project managers and engineering disciplines to ensure the project execution plan is effective, comprehensive, reasonable and obtainable
- Assume leadership of a project team as lead engineer and coordinate the design aspects of the projects
- Develop process simulation models for existing and proposed O&G facilities
- Size and specify equipment and instrumentation for existing and proposed O&G facilities
- Develop block flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, and piping and instrumentation diagrams
- Maintain a high level of understanding of departmental design standards, applicable engineering codes and Halker’s guidelines and standards
- Work with plant operations to troubleshoot existing operational issues
- Perform feasibility studies which include process design evaluation, cost estimating, and economic analysis
Education And Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in oil and gas or closely related industry
- Minimum 4 years of experience developing layouts, PFDs and P&IDs for upstream multi-well facilities, salt water disposals and compressor stations
- Experience in midstream and downstream projects including gas processing and oil distillation a plus
- Proficient with process simulation software (HYSYS, ProMax, VMGSim, ProTreat)
- Professional Engineering License
Compensation And Benefits Compensation (i.e. Base Salary) is negotiable and shall be offered commensurate with experience.
