Senior Data Scientist Description

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with demonstrated expertise in Python and SQL to join our remote team.

Responsibilities

• Pinpointing and resolving business issues through data analysis and modeling
• Conducting effective data interpretations using Python and SQL
• Developing and validating analytical models for diverse applications including Deep Learning, AI, and Time Series Forecasting
• Presenting findings and insights in a clear and informative manner
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to encourage data-driven decision-making
• Regularly updating knowledge base with the latest advancements in Data Science and ML modeling
• Assisting in the creation of Data Science solutions
• Utilizing data visualization techniques for effective communication of insights
• Implementing NLP and text mining techniques for insightful results
• Providing leadership and mentorship to junior data science professionals

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Python and SQL for data analysis and modeling
• A solid foundation in data-oriented applied mathematics, including statistical analysis and machine learning
• A robust approach to modeling and algorithms, such as Boosting Algorithms
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn, pandas, and matplotlib
• Extensive experience in ML Modeling for Deep Learning, AI, and Time Series Forecasting
• Proficiency in at least one of the major Cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Familiarity with the production of Data Science solutions
• Strong data visualization skills
• Experience with NLP and text mining
• A problem-solving mindset
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in English

Nice to have

• Experience with MLOps solutions such as SageMaker, Vertex, or Azure ML
• Familiarity with Big Data solutions, particularly Spark/PySpark
