Job Description

Performs a variety of patient care and clerical services in an ambulatory health care center or physician's office. Obtains and records patient's vital signs and performs routine tests such as urinalysis, blood sugar, and hematocrit.

Education, Training & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Graduate of state approved nursing assistant certificate program or 2 years experience as a direct care provider in a related clinical setting or a combination of education and experience acceptable to the Director of Nursing. Emergency Department positions preferred EMS training or medical corpsman experience.
• Certificate of successfully completing a Patient Care Technician training program with presentation of competency based orientation and Basic Cardiac Life Support. Training must include phlebotomy and 12 Lead ECG.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) training required
