Job Description

About the role

• Building wooden structures, including walls, roofs and flooring according to design and blueprints
• Constructing window and door frames as well as staircases and flooring
• Ensure structural integrity of floors, walls, ceilings by blocking according to blueprints
• Identify deviations from design and troubleshoot manufacturing issues

Pay Range $23-33/hour DOE

Qualifications

About you

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Rough Carpentry/Framing, over 10 years preferred
• Understand construction measurements and basic math- these will be tested during the interview
• Ability to read blueprints, easily understand materials and measurements from the prints and identify potential issues with materials.
• Demonstrated understanding of structural framing concepts
• Have working knowledge and understanding of all carpentry related tools, both power and hand
• Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as outstanding problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and with a work crew
• Be physically able to perform various job site tasks as well as lifting materials and walking & standing most of the workday
