Machinist Job Summary: 

O perates milling machines  but also has the knowledge of tooling and materials required to create set ups on machine tools such as milling machines, grinders, lathes, and drilling machines.

Responsibilities:

• Make adjustments to the machine to control speed, material feed and path of the cut.
• Make sure the machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality product.
• Look at the finished product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for the next step in production.
• Being able to read schematics.
• Having good written and verbal communication skills.
• Being able to detect malfunctions.
• Having manual dexterity.
• Being accurate.
• Having understanding of using repair tools, testing machinery, and equipments.
• Having knowledge of metals.
• Being able to stand for long periods of time.

Qualifications:

• Must be an expert at milling, grinding
• EDM to close tolerances.
